Thursday 30th June, 9.45am – 12.45pm, Pontio Arts and Innovation Centre, Bangor University
Gattaca presents a future in which children are genetically designed to ensure that they possess the best hereditary traits of their parents. But, what about the science behind this? To find out more, join us for a screening of the film Gattaca, followed by a presentation ‘Could genetic design make me a better PlayStation Player?’ by Dr Thomas Caspari from the School of Medical Sciences at Bangor University. Spaces will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
This event will provide school pupils with an opportunity to attend a screening of the film Gattaca in the new Pontio Arts and Innovation Centre at Bangor University, hear a talk from a scientific expert on genetic design and put their questions to him afterwards. The event is aimed at school pupils aged 15+
