Booking is now open for Wales Gene Park Genetics Roadshow for schools and colleges in autumn 2017!
The roadshow offers free genetics-related talks to year 12/13 students in your own school or college. At each roadshow two to three expert speakers will talk on topics such as:
- Inherited disorders
- Genetic counselling
- Stem cells
- Personalised medicine
- Genomics
- Biodiversity
- Forensic science
- Genetic Engineering
- Next Generation Sequencing
- Genetic and genomic testing
- Cancer genetics
Each talk is 15-20 minutes with time for questions afterwards. We will try and provide talks on your preferred topics, however choices cannot be guaranteed as they will depend on speaker availability. We normally require 100 or more students in the audience for 3 speakers. If you are unable to provide this number, we can help you join with nearby schools/colleges (or arrange other options) so please contact us to discuss further.
