Aimed at year 12 and 13 biology students, this free event will look at how discoveries in the rapidly-advancing areas of DNA, genetics and genomics are being applied to aspects of everyday life. Confirmed speakers include Dr Claire Asher (Science Communicator), Dr Sue Assinder (Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine), John Holt (University of Leicester), Professor Peter Kille (Cardiff University), Dr Joao Pedro de Magalhães (University of Liverpool), Dr Alex Murray (All Wales Medical Genetics Service & Cardiff University), Amy Rattenbury (Glyndwr University), Dr Katie Swaden Lewis (Cardiff University)….and more.
