What is the Schools’ Genetics and Genomics Roadshow?
- Wales Gene Park Schools’ Genetics and Genomics Roadshow offers free talks to year 12/13 students in your own school or college. At the roadshow two expert speakers will talk on topics related to DNA, genetics and genomics. Each talk is around 25 to 30 minutes with questions afterwards, so the whole roadshow lasts an hour.
- If you have any particular subjects you would like to hear about, please let us know. We will try and provide talks on preferred topics, however choices cannot be guaranteed as they will depend on speaker availability
- If you are unable to host a roadshow at your school/college, we can help you join with others nearby (or explore other options) so please contact us to discuss further
The process of organising the 2019/20 roadshow is now underway. Now in its 10th year, the event has been extremely successful, travelling to schools and colleges throughout Wales and reaching thousands of students. The 2017/18 event saw a significant drop in participants, so we would like to ask for your help and feedback to try and improve this and ensure we can continue to run it in the future. Please let us know if you have any comments, suggestions or feedback about it and how it could work best for your school or college.
How can I take part?
